HelpMeGiveBack is an international outreach consortium offering a wide range of opportunities and broad educational programs to increase knowledge, understanding and participation in humanitarian services,  genealogy, and giving back to others. While current efforts are focused on the United States, the idea has been well received in Latin America; the Middle East; Russia, East Europe, and Eurasia; and South Asia. We forecast opening these locations soon as well as diversifying our projects, including adoption, higher education, micro-financing, and healthcare. Using the resources of one of the nation’s largest research institutions, we work with change makers to address critical needs and supplement the existing knowledge of the world around us. Welcome aboard.

The beloved history written by my great grandfather years ago is truly a family heirloom, but we can do more than he did 100 yrs ago. We have abundant resources, technology, and media to make our stories come alive and impact our children and grandchildren for good now and in the future. And we don't have to attempt it alone. Many resources simply await our involvement...we need simply ask.

Every journey begins with a single step, but that initial step is perhaps the most important. The others cannot follow until the fundamental effort has been started. Here is one way to take that first step:

Resources worth remembering

If you believe you don't have anything exciting or interesting to share, join the crowd. Many of us wonder what information in our mundane, boring lives could be of interest to others or our posterity. But don't despair. Facts are important. Feelings are quintessential. The seemingly dull activities of your day will spread hope to others and particularly your posterity, as monotony is not exclusive to one generation; your response will shed light and hope to those who will follow when they face similar circumstances and have their own questions.

Because our lives exist in identity, we need to connect with and learn from others. Our experiences will have a direct impact on those who follow. Even though times have changed, lessons must continue to be taught and nobody wants to go about it alone, so pull up your chair, put down your paper, and let's revisit your life experiences. It may be the most important task you ever do.
